Tom Shultz
Tom Shultz can be classified as a fairly realistic painter. He has a natural ability yet his work has been called mysterious and playful at the same time. His paintings often express his life experiences and so his subject matter continues to change and grow. In the 1980s and "90s, when he was painting car portraits, he started adding background scenery into those canvasses. The change fascinated him, as if another force was at the wheel. The landscape started to encroach on them and pretty soon, the cars just went away. Living on the Central Coast of California has also inspired his highly stylized landscapes. Throughout the years he has appeared in many exhibits, publications and has completed numberous commissions and murals.
